I have event management superpowers.
Seriously. Just ask around. I spent over 15 years as a theatrical stage manager and I know my shit. I can keep track of 47 details at once and still manage the big picture. I’ve even been known to put divas in their places when the production demands it. Got a paid event coordinator gig? I’d love to hear about it.
I am a nerd
I blame Mr. Spock for this. I write science fiction, fantasy, and horror, though not nearly as often as I’d like. I’ve been published in a few small press venues, and I have at least three unfinished novel-length manuscripts that demand my attention on a semi-regular basis. And yes, I know the titles of all 79 original series Trek episodes.
I rock the karaoke mic
Not only do I love to channel my inner Robert Plant in front of a crowd of drunken bar patrons, I turned that love into a part time gig as a karaoke host. You can find me Wednesday nights at Mudai Lounge on 801 NE Broadway here in Portland. I’m also available for weekend gigs and private parties and I would love to host a kid-friendly karaoke night someday soon.
I don’t cook much
But my husband does and his food is amazing. I’ve been his sous chef for a Christmas dinner party, two weddings, numerous barbeques, and a killer Lunch 2.0. And yes, we are available for hire.
I make zombies
An airbrush, liquid latex, stage blood… bring it.
